We are blessed with a wonderful church in which to worship the Lord. There are dozens of people each week who contribute to make our masses reverent and beautiful.
Servers help prepare the altar and assist the priest during Mass. Servers also assist at other types of liturgical celebrations, such as weddings and funerals.
Adults: Women and men are invited to serve at the 5:00 PM mass. Contact Rev. Michael O’Connell for more information.
Children: Children who worship regularly at Mass can be trained for this ministry beginning in the fifth grade. Matt Bauer coordinates the children servers.
Environment and Art
The committee designs seasonal decorations which foster a climate of hospitality and enhance our worship. Volunteers help to prepare and decorate the church for each of the liturgical seasons and special celebrations. In addition, volunteers take care of the flowers and plants in the church.
If you are interested in helping, contact the rectory office.
Extraordinary Ministers of Communion
The Extraordinary Ministers help to distribute the Body and Blood of Christ to the faithful. A person who aspires to this ministry must be a confirmed Roman Catholic who regularly shares in the Eucharist and is committed to the faith.
If you are interested, contact Rev. Michael O’Connell.
A lector’s role is to proclaim the Scripture readings of the day so that all may hear God’s word. Lector training only takes about an hour of your time. A workbook with all readings for the year, helpful advice, and interpretive information is also provided. Most lectors are scheduled to read at Mass 3 to 4 times in the course of every two month schedule.
If you are interested, contact Barbara Scharres.
